Description
Learn about the chakras also known as Ausar or Shango Energy centers and how they can be used to heal. According to the ancient teachings of Africa and Kemet (ancient Egypt), the energy centers are tiny sources of electromagnetic energy that affect our entire being. These energy centers, or chakras, affect our thoughts, emotions, physical health, spiritual health, and total being. Mastering, balancing, and opening our chakras is the best way to master every aspect of your life. There is a plethora of information about the chakras but very little as it applies to the origin of the chakras. Most of us are familiar with the seven major chakras but from an African perspective, there are thirteen major chakras. The Chakras from An African Perspective is a series of courses that will break down the seven chakras we are familiar with as well as the other six that most aren’t familiar with. Starting with the root chakra we will explore its characteristics, how to heal it, its corresponding ancient deities from Africa and Egypt, and lots more. We will discuss the best foods, stones, colors, and techniques to address both overactive and underactive root chakras, use journal prompts, and find out how to manifest physical things in our lives by having a strong root chakra. See you in class!
