Description
Welcome to the Make It British course. The course I designed to help you master your listening and pronunciation skills. There are 3 modules in this "Make it British" pronunciation and listening course, this is the Module 2. Each module has a unique name – Get into Gear, In the Groove and Riding High. They all have a meaning. Get into Gear means you’re finding the right gear to get started, and in this module, you will learn about subjects such as intonation and the Schwa sound. Module 2 is called In the Groove, because you will now be feeling more confident and will begin to understand the phonetic alphabet and practice your listening with more complex audios and videos. And in Module 3, which is called Riding High, you will be feeling that your knowledge of pronunciation has really come along and will learn about some difficult sounds with lots of practice which helps you to speak more confidently. Each of these 3 modules has 7 lessons, and each lesson has listening and pronunciation content with various videos, audios and exercises. At the end of each module there are review lessons, more practice lessons with techniques such as Shadowing and then a test to see how much you’ve learnt.I’ve also made you a schedule that I suggest you follow to get the most out of your course. There are two schedules available depending on how much time you have available to study – the first is at a normal study pace and the other is a little slower. I recommend that you choose one and follow it to provide you with the organisation and discipline needed to study.
