It breaks everything down concept by concept. This course contains much about the types and durations of notes and rests, various time signatures, counting rhythms within those time signatures, and understanding what straight vs. shuffle rhythms are. It takes the student on a journey discovering the basics of everything in rhythm – everything from sixteenth note triplets all the way up to whole notes, and showing how they are counted in various time signatures. It also shows how math works its way into music using dotted notes and rests, tied notes, and also, time signatures as a fraction. With regards to time signatures, it breaks them down into types of time signatures, and gives a sense of a rhythmic base to them.
