CAMWorks for Solid Edge 2023 SP3 what’s new
1. CWR-2149 CSR-23575 Toolpath For the specific Mill part, when the 3 Axis toolpath generation method is set to ‘Advanced’ and the "Hit Flats" checkbox under the Area Clearance tab is checked, the generated toolpath gouges the part.
2. CWR-2140 CSR-23174 Toolpath For the specific Mill part, when the 3 Axis toolpath Generation method is set to ‘Advanced’, the generated toolpath having Constant stepover with arc fitting gouges the part.
3. CW-124398 CSR-24435 System For the specific Mill Assembly, when a particular Mill setup is deleted and the assembly file is saved, all the CAM data gets lost up on reopening that assembly file.
4. CW-124214 CSR-24358 API When executing the API macro "GetEnumRecords" for any Rough Mill or Contour Mill toolpath, an error message gets displayed and the macro stops working. However, it works correctly for Drilling toolpaths.
5. CW-124090 CSR-24304 Simulation During Simulation mode, the Tool display for Dovetail tool is incorrect. However, if the ‘Center cutting’ checkboxn under Tool tab of Operation Parameters dialog box is checked, then the tool gets displayed correctly.
6. CW-122535 CSR-23564 Simulation When the specific part programmed using CAMWorks For Solid Edge is simulated using CAMWorks Virtual Machine, incorrect Z axis retract move is observed.
7. CW-122364 CSR-23676 UIF For any Turn part, when the "Undercut" option under Finish tab is checked and if the user edits the Turn Finish operation and generates the toolpath again, the "Undercut" option gets auto-unchecked.
8. CW-122316 CSR-23634 UIF In non-English language versions of CAMWorks For Solid Edge, for any Multiaxis Drilling operation, the "Pecking" checkbox option for Peck drilling present under the Pattern tab of Operation parameters dialog box doesn’t work correctly. When you place a check in the checkbox, an error message, "Loading bitmap failed" gets displayed.
9. CW-122288 CSR-23636 UIF In Polish language version of CAMWorks For Solid Edge, the icon for ‘Auto Edge Detection’ within the Direction group box under Pattern tab of Operation Parameters dialog box is missing.
10. CW-122282 CSR-23617 API New API to get "Optimize between groups" is required.

14. CW-121827 CSR-23409 Toolpath For the specific Mill part, when Roughing toolpath for the Slot feature is generated using the "Offset Roughing" pocketing pattern, the toolpath gouges the part. The gouge is observed due to wrong move near the air segment of the Slot feature. Toolpath generates correctly when using the other pocketing patterns.
15. CW-120706 CSR-12311 CSR-22887 API The API "CWMillFeature:IGetIslands" to get the islands profiles does not function correctly.
16. CW-120473 CSR-22840 System A specific custom Tech DB which contains some tools with no tool data or incomplete tool data. If such tools are added in the active tool crib in CAMWorks For Solid Edge and then user tries to save the tool crib, CAMWorks For Solid Edge crashes without any error message.
17. CW-119885 CSR-22686 System For the specific Mill part, CAMWorks For Solid Edge gets repeatedly hung when previewing operations containing WIP Rest Machining.
18. CW-119710 CSR-22639 Toolpath For Curve Feature with ‘Auto Select Edges for Chamfering’, the Chamfer Machining Contour Mill toolpath does not consider the vertical wall edges and gouges the part. This is observed when the feature has bottom fillets.
19. CW-119440 CSR-22581 Feature In Assembly mode, if a sketch is used for defining an island in a feature, and if that feature is edited, the island gets deleted.
20. CW-119416 CSR-22579 Simulation For the specific Mill part having STL file as stock, when performing simulation of the Multiaxis Mill toolpath with Circular pattern, the Tool holder collides with the part when it moves from one pattern instance to another. However, this move is not present in the toolpath.
21. CW-119117 CSR-22313 Toolpath For the specific Assembly, the ‘Retract between features’ option does not work correctly for the Single Point operation. This is observed when ‘Retract between features’ is set to ‘Use skim plane’ with a distance value assigned. The toolpath does not change when this distance value changes.
22. CW-118919 CSR-22368 UIF In CAMWorks For Solid Edge when user selects a user- defined tool, the Preview of the selected tool does not get displayed in the Preview window under the Tools tab of Operation Parameters dialog box. The Preview window continues to display the previous tool. Only upon shifting focus to another tab and reverting back will the user defined tool get displayed within the Preview window.

CW-118513 CSR-22349 Rebuild If a user does not select any of the listed features under the Mill Tab of CAMWorks For Solid Edge Options dialog box and proceeds to change the Fixture Coordinate System, then the Rebuild command will fail to update the Mill part and Toolpath location as per the new FCS.

28. CW-113619 CSR-19367 Toolpath For any Mill part, when the Retract point set to ‘Hole center’, the Cutter Compensation gets disabled for the last XY linear feed move defined by the Leadout amount. Ideally, the Cutter Compensation must get disabled on the XY linear feed move back to X0Y0 location.
